Junior Analyst*Tester -- £18-24k + excellent working conditions Our Oxfordshire client are in need of a Junior Analyst*Tester with Perl and OO experience (can be academic) to produce and maintain system and unit-level documentation and test code. The role will also involve producing and maintaining a variety of specification and requirements documents based on verbal and written briefs, and scrawled diagrams, as well as investigating legacy code, producing and implementing test plans, and any other assigned tasks. The successful candidate will have some experience of programming in Perl and a basic familiarity with Object Orientation. A strong desire to advance as a programmer; the ability to interpret complicated systems; very good written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work without close supervision; and excellent personal organisation. Desirable skills are: experience of producing documentation or other technical writing; experience of working in a Unix*Linux environment; and precision to and beyond the point of pedantry. This is an excellent opportunity to improve your skills and gain industry experience. Career progression is likely to be in the direction of software development.
